We guarantee our services with a 30-day warranty on the repair that
we perform for your console.
Q. Is there
an option to have it repaired sooner?
Yes, we can complete the diagnostic and return your console to you
within 24-48 hours for an additional rush charge of $25.
Q. I have
this red light on my Xbox 360 – what is it?
This is often referred
to as the “three red ring of death” (3RROD)
and is caused by too much heat being built up around the CPU.
Q. Can
you fix this?
Yes! The Game Alley can fix the 3RROD and stuck DVD drives on your
Xbox 360!
Q. What
method do you perform to fix the 3RROD on my Xbox 360?
Currently the best method to fix this issue is to replace the x-clamps
within your Xbox 360. If you Google "x-clamp fix for Xbox 360"
you will get an idea of what we do with your Xbox 360 to fix it.
Q. I just
watched a step by step video on how to fix the 3RROD? Why should I
bring it to you guys to fix?
The fix might look easy to perform, but we have the parts and the
experience to fix your console so you don’t have to watch any
videos or order any parts! We routinely fix Xbox 360 consoles and
we have the technical knowledge in house. We don’t send your
console out for repair. Your console will stay local for speedy repair
and return to you.
We also provide
a 30 day warranty to our fixed Xbox 360 consoles. It is a known fact
that 10% of all Xbox 360s fixed with the "x-clamp" fix will
experience the 3RROD again. Even if you send it to Microsoft for repair,
there is no guarantee that you will not experience 3RROD again. We
have had multiple consoles repaired by Microsoft that have come to
our shop when they experience a second 3RROD and need to be repaired
again. All Xbox 360s accepted for repair are thorougthly cleaned and
tested before they are returned. however, if we can not repair your
xbox 360 you pay nothing.
Q. What
else do you do to my Xbox 360?
In addition to
performing the x-clamp fix, we clean out your Xbox 360 console from
any dust. This will reduce heat and allow proper airflow through the
console. We also check your fan and cables for any problems that heat
might have damaged and if necessary replace the damaged part.
Q. Should I buy an intercooler or add an external fan to my
console for better airflow so it won’t over heat?
Adding an intercooler
or fan will not hurt, but this will not stop your Xbox 360 from experiencing
3RROD!
Q. What is the best position to place my Xbox 360
In our opinion, the best position
is laying your Xbox 360 horizontally; this is the best position for
your DVD Drive. While some feel positioning the Xbox 360 console vertically
allows for better airflow, we have seen more games damaged when the
Xbox 360 console is standing up vertically. Games are not cheap.
